Minutes of the Regular Meeting

Held July 11, 2016 at the Town Hall Commencing at 7:30 P.M.

Supervisor Anderson opened the regular Town Board meeting at 7:31 with the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Resolution 2016-64 Approval of Minutes

A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved the Mexico Town Board approves the minutes from the June 13, 2016 town board meeting.

Reports:

Town Clerk – A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the town clerk report as presented.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

            Dog Control Officer– A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Greenway to accept the monthly report as presented.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

            Zoning Officer / Building Inspector – A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Greenway to accept the monthly report as presented.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

            Highway Superintendent – A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the monthly report as presented. The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Community Park A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Greenway to accept the monthly report as presented. The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Mexico Point Park – A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to approve the report as presented.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

            Supervisor A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to approve the supervisor’s report as presented.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolution 2016-65 Payroll

A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the following resolution.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved the Mexico Town Board approves the June payroll.

Water Update – A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Greenway to approve the report as presented.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

            Resolution 2016-66 Perimeter Drain Inspection    

A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the following resolution.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved the Mexico Town Board approves the inspection of the perimeter drain with a camera not to exceed $300.00.

             Resolution 2016-67 Create Maintenance & Repair Position

A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Supervisor Anderson to accept the following resolution.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved the Mexico Town Board approves the creation of a maintenance and repair position for the town office and the court buildings with a monthly salary of $100.00.

Resolution 2016-68 Appoint a Maintenance & Repairman

A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the following resolution.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved the Mexico Town Board appoints Ronald Marsden as the maintenance and repairman for the town office and court buildings.

The supervisor told the board the 2nd Quarterly Report was for the board’s review.

The bids for cutting trees at Mexico Point Park were opened by Town Clerk Liz Dishaw as follows:

CNY Professional Tree Services                     $5,200.

Mannise Tree Service                                      $5,000.

Midstate Lawn & Tree Service                       $3,600.

Resolution 2016-69 Tree Cutting Bids

A motion made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Supervisor Anderson to accept the following resolution.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved the Mexico Town Board approve the lowest responsible bid of $3,600.00 made by Midstate Lawn & Tree Service to cut the trees at Mexico Point Park.

Resolution 2016-70 Mosquito Authority Spraying

A motion made by Supervisor Anderson and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the following resolution.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved the Mexico Town Board approve the mosquito spraying at Mexico Point Park by Mosquito Authority not to exceed $150.00 per spraying for a maximum of three sprayings.

Resolution 2016 71 Audit of Claims 

A motion was made by Councilor Greenway and seconded by Councilor Barber to accept the following resolution.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays

Resolved that the bills for Abstract 7 have been reviewed by the Town Board and are authorized for payment in the following amounts:

 

General A Fund                      voucher # 192 to 223              $17,162.45

General B Fund                      voucher # 45 to 50                  $2,919.44

Highway Fund                         voucher # 92 to 114                $102,477.59

Capital                                     voucher # 11 to 12                  $4,945.75

 

A motion was made by Supervisor Anderson and seconded by Councilor Partrick to adjourn at 7:57.  The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Greenway, Partrick and 0 nays
