REGULAR MEETING – 6:00 PM

Mayor Grimshaw called the Regular meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 2, 2019 were approved on motion of Trustee Hotchkiss seconded by Trustee Harter, all aye.

The following claims were approved for payment on motion of Trustee Hotchkiss seconded by Trustee Harter, all aye:

Reports were given by William Hamacher Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer and John Power/Village Administrator

Village Administrator John Power submitted suggestions for Cemetery Rules & Regulations for the Board to review.

The Board agreed to William Hamacher’s request to use the Village of Mexico’s Vehicle to travel to a training class in Poughkeepsie, NY on November 12-14, 2019.  

On motion of Trustee Harter, seconded by Trustee Hotchkiss, all aye, the board approved the transfer of the Unpaid 2019 Village Taxes to Oswego County to be re-levied to the 2020 Town/County taxes.

On motion of Trustee Hotchkiss, seconded by Trustee Harter, all aye, the following resolution was adopted:

RESOLUTION TO RELOCATE VILLAGE OF MEXICO SIGN ON COUNTY ROUTE 41

WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Board to leave the Village speed limit as is on County Route 41 as it enters the Village of Mexico at 30 mph and to just move the Village of Mexico sign to the Village line.

NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Trustee Hotchkiss, seconded Trustee Harter, all aye,

BE IT RESOLVED as follows:

The Village of Mexico Board of Trustees supports speed limits are set as is and the speed limit for County Route 41 as it enters the Village to remain at 30 mph and for the Village of Mexico sign to be place in the correct location.

MOTION UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED by all members present.

On motion of Trustee Harter, seconded by Trustee Hotchkiss, all aye, the board approved to designate offices open for election on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 (2 Trustees- Linerode & Hotchkiss 2 years)

On motion of Trustee Hotchkiss, seconded by Trustee Harter, all aye, the board agreed to table the quote received from Radarsign until Trustee Emery can discuss further action with the school board.

Trustee Hotchkiss will contact United Refining and revisit the option of purchasing property for parking lot instead of leasing to the Village of Mexico.

The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m. on motion of Trustee Hotchkiss, seconded by Trustee Harter all aye.
