Supervisor Anderson opened the regular Town Board meeting at 7:30 with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Resolution 2016-1 Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Behling to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by a vote of 3 ayes, Anderson, Behling, Partrick and 0 nays
Resolved the Mexico Town Board approves the minutes from the December 28, 2015 town board meeting.

Town Clerk – A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the town clerk reports as presented. The motion was unanimously adopted by 4 ayes Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
Dog Control Officer– A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Behling to accept the monthly report as presented. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays
Zoning Officer / Building Inspector – A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the monthly report as presented. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
Highway Superintendent – A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Barber to accept the monthly report as presented. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays
Community Park– none
Mexico Point Park – none
Supervisor –A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Barber to approve the monthly report as presented. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
Resolution 2016-2 Payroll
A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Behling to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
Resolved the Mexico Town Board approves the December payroll.
Water Update – A motion was made by Councilor Barber and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the report as presented. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
There was a discussion on increasing the contract with McFee Ambulance.
Resolution 2016-3 BAN for 2014 Dump Truck
A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
Resolved the Mexico Town Board approve the BAN payment of $42,459 plus interest and to BAN for the balance due February 12, 2016.
Resolution 2016-4 Authorizing Prepayment of Bills
A motion was made by Councilor Barber and seconded by Councilor Behling to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
WHEREAS, National Grid bills arrive after the Town Board Meeting on occasion as do some others.
WHEREAS, To avoid late fees on bills that are not on the monthly abstract there is a need to prepay these bills along with other bills.
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion made by Councilor Barber and seconded by Councilor Behling be it:
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Mexico hereby authorizes the Clerk to the Supervisor to prepay such bills with the approval of the Town Supervisor.
Resolution 2016-5 Appointments
A motion was made by Councilor Partrick and seconded by Councilor Behling to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.

Resolution 2016 -6 Establishing a Real Property Tax Exemption
A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Partrick to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes, Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
Resolved that the Town Board of the Town of Mexico will hold a Public Hearing on February 8, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Mexico Town Hall, 64 South Jefferson Street, Mexico, New York to consider proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2016, Establishing a Real Property Tax Exemption for non-residential real property converted to mixed-use property.
Resolution 2016 -7 Audit of Claims
A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Barber to accept the following resolution. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes, Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
Resolved that the bills for Abstract 1 have been reviewed by the Town Board and are authorized for payment in the following amounts:
General A Fund voucher # 1 to 22 $41,172.44
General B Fund voucher # 1 to 5 $5,154.87
Highway Fund voucher # 1 to 8 $82,409.67
A motion was made by Councilor Behling and seconded by Councilor Partrick to adjourn at 8:03. The motion was adopted by 4 ayes; Anderson, Behling, Barber, Partrick and 0 nays.
