REGULAR MEETING – 6:00 PM

Present:         
Mayor Grimshaw, Trustees: Emery, Harter, Hotchkiss and Linerode, John Power, William Hamacher, Salvatore Magro (arrived at 6:07 pm) and Attorney Mowry (arrived 6:08 pm)

Mayor Grimshaw called the Public Hearing to order at 6:00 pm for Local Law 2 of 2020 entitled “Unauthorized use of water services or fire hydrants”.  The Public Hearing closed at 6:02 p.m. on motion of Trustee Harter, seconded by Trustee Hotchkiss, all aye. No public comment.

Mayor Grimshaw called the regular meeting to order at 6:03 pm.

The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 5, 2020 were approved on motion of Trustee Emery with stipulation that a typo be fixed, seconded by Trustee Hotchkiss, all aye. The Minutes of the Emergency Meeting on August 26, 2020 were approved on motion of Trustee Hotchkiss, seconded Trustee Harter, all aye.

The following claims were approved for payment on motion of Trustee Harter seconded by Trustee Linerode, all aye:

General Fund Abstract:
3B: $36,074.51
4A: $11,602.22     

Water Fund Abstract:        
3B: $11,512.35
4A: $7,029.93

Sewer Fund Abstract:  
3B: $18,036.33
4A: $11,281.57

WWTP Upgrade Project:       
4A: $93,397.21                      

Reports were given by William Hamacher/Zoning and Code Enforcement Officer and John Power/Village Administrator.

On motion of Trustee Emery, seconded by Trustee Hotchkiss, all aye, the Village Board approved Local Law 2 of 2020 entitled “Unauthorized use of water services or fire hydrants”.

On motion of Trustee Hotchkiss, seconded Trustee Linerode, all aye, the approval to give Amanda and Salvatore Magro a sewer/water relief request for the property located at 3294 Main Street of which they plan on demolishing by winter of 2020.

Trustee Emery addressed the Board about the maintenance of the Cemetery and would like to commend Robert Oustrich, Joseph Tagliareni and the Village DPW workers for the outstanding job that they are doing to keep the cemetery looking so well-manicured.

On motion of Trustee Emery, seconded Trustee Hotchkiss, all aye, to approve continuing the process of the removal of the Little Salmon River Dam per the findings that the dam has been found to be “Unsound” by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. An Engineering report will need to be designed for the removal of the dam.
